Activities

For the period 1992 - 2008 the Society organised and conducted seven national conferences.

The first national conference

The first national conference of aviation and navy medicine was conducted in 1995 (November, 24th-25th) in Sofia – MMA. The scientific articles and reports followed the directions below:

  • Organisation, epidemiology and expertise in the aviation and navy medicine;
  • Physiology of the aviation and naval labour;
  • Aviation cardiology;
  • Extreme factors of the aviation and naval labour - human factor;
  • Aviation psycology.

Conference guest was Dr. Ledou of the "Air France" medical service. A collection of reports was issued.


The second national conference

The second national conferenceof aviation, navy and space medicine was conducted in 1997 (October, 01st-03d) in Varna. The scientific articles and reports followed the directions below:

  • Physiology and psycology of the aviation and naval labour;
  • Expertise of the aviation and navy medicine;
  • Cardiology;
  • Hiper- and hypobar medicine;
  • Extreme situations.

Conference guest was Dr. Offret of the medical council of the public aviation of France. A collection of reports was issued.


The third national conference

The third national conferenceof aviation, navy and space medicine was conducted in 1999 (October) in Borovets. The scientific articles and reports followed the directions below:

  • Physiology of the aviation and naval labour;
  • Clinical aviation and navy medicine and expertise;
  • Aviation psycology;
  • Human Factor;
  • Nutrition of the flight crew.

A collection of reports was issued.


The fourth national conference

The fourth national conferenceof aviation, navy and space medicine was conducted in 2001 (September, 26th-28th) in Varna. The scientific reports are mainly in the domain of the contemporary requirements of urgent aviomedical evacuation of injured army personnel, injured with thermical trauma in the Black Sea region and degree of training of the vestibular analyser. A collection of reports was issued.


The fifth national conference

The fifth national conferenceof aviation, navy and space medicine was conducted in 2003 (October, the 11th) in Sofia, during the first international conference of military medicine in the department of "Aviation and navy medicine". Mainly discussed are scientific reports in the domain of aviation ORL and hyperbar medicine. Guests of the conference were representants of the Institute of aviation medicine in Serbia.


The sixth national conference

The sixth national conferenceof aviation, space and navy medicine was conducted in 2006 (October, 5th-7th) in Varna. The scientific articles and reports followed the directions below:

  • Aviomedical expertise and flight capability;
  • Aviation physiology and aviomedical evacuation;
  • Human factor in aviation;
  • Movement disease;
  • Navy medicine and expertise;
  • Hyperbar medicine;
  • Travel medicine;
  • Space medicine.

A collection of reports was issued.


The seventh national conference

The seventh national conferenceof aviation, navy and space medicine was conducted in 2008 (October, 9th-11th) in Sofia. The scientific articles and reports followed the directions below:

  • Aviation and navy medical expertise;
  • Physiology of the aviation and naval labour;
  • Psycological aspects of the aviation and naval labour;
  • Pharmacology of the aviation and navy medicine;
  • Human factor and environment;
  • Aviation and navy medicine trainings;
  • Aviomedical evacuation;
  • Travel medicine;
  • Space medicine;
  • Others.

Foreign participants: Dr. Elena Kataman, vice-president of the European Society of Aerospace Medicine (ESAM) and representant of the medical service of Air Moldova and prof. Ponamarenko – Institute of aviation and space medicine, Moscow. A collection of reports was issued.

 


The IX-th national conference

In November – between 15th and 17th, the Ninth National conference of Aviation, Navy and Space Medicine

 was held.

  • EASA - regulation of medical certification of flight crew personnel of civil aviation
